Reviews and Ratings
I stayed at the hotel for 9 nights with 2 adults and 2 kids in a standard room. The room had two baths, one 'traditional' and one very modern, with beautiful tiling throughout and a deluge shower head in a phone booth-sized stall. The hotel offered 25% off the price and was a great place for a good night's sleep and a hot shower. The location turned out to be very convenient for our plans, with downtown San Diego, the San Diego Zoo, and large shopping malls nearby. The dining experience was good with 3 different breakfast options, though it felt a bit monotonous at times. The facilities were well-maintained and satisfying overall.
The hotel rooms are completely outdated and not so clean, but the service was excellent and very friendly. The location is very convenient for anyone visiting San Diego's activities, although the dining experience was overpriced and sometimes cold. The facilities were average.
Upon arrival, I found the hotel to be conveniently located near Mission Bay, making it easy to explore the area. The room had a moldy smell, but once settled in, I was surprised to find someone else's belongings in what was supposed to be my room. The double beds were old, yet somewhat comfortable. The hotel's central location in San Diego was a plus, despite the noise from the nearby freeway. However, the service left much to be desired with unhelpful staff members. The dining options were basic and could have been more nutritious, typical of what I have experienced in other Best Western locations.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, but the atmosphere felt very stuffy. The service was fantastic, especially from Rosemary at the front desk and the shuttle service guys Larry and Steven. The location was very convenient for us to get to Hillcrest, but the dining options were overpriced and cold at times.
